Inspire, connect and share!
Mentorships bring your passion to the kids
We’d love to hear from you
Our Mentorship Block invites community members to share their skills, passions, and trades with students in hands-on, land-based sessions. It’s a big part of the magic at Cottonwood Rose as we’re able to bring a great variety of experience to the kids.
Mentorships run Tue/Wed/Thur between 12:00 and 2:45 p.m. and ideally last for 3+ sessions. For instance, Tuesdays for 3 weeks.
The 12:00-1:30 block is our K-2 cohort while the 1:30-2:45 block is our older two cohorts together. We consider the combined blocks 1 mentorship session. Ideally mentors can handle both blocks with age appropriate material.
There is a limited budget to finance our mentorships but we are able to offer up to 100$ per session.
Parent volunteers assist with day of supervision and logistics.
Mentors have access to a variety of indoor and outdoor learning spaces — domes, forest, garden, workshop, and open field areas — depending on their activity.
We welcome proposals that engage children through creativity, nature connection, craft, science, or cultural practice.
Selected mentors will receive orientation and scheduling support before their sessions begin.
Please share details of your proposed learning sessions by filling out the form linked below so we can match your offering with the right cohort(s) and schedule.
Within a week or two of your submission we’ll follow up.
Thank you for your help in making the magic happen!!
So far this fall, our mentorships have taken kids from the garden to the workshop and back again. They’ve planted and harvested with a regenerative farmer, built and crafted with a shop teacher, and made seasonal tools by hand. They’ve gathered wild herbs for medicine making and explored sound and energy with a vibrational healing guide.
Each mentorship brings new ways to learn from the land — blending creativity, skill, and wonder in every session.
